in city
writing very quick.. in the city and its well.. noisy, dirty and busy... but its a city.. last night some homeless hungry dude swiped or punched some guy walking beside us on bourke st (he previously went thru a bin) it was a calvin klein bag.. so the poor dude had some taste.. and the other dude was freaked.. its our 4th night and 3rd day in the city.. saw some old famous tv dude.. john something.. blue heelers?! i know the face dont remember the name... chinatown last night.. we found it! lol! all the way up the other end.. very small, crammed.. more pricey but some awesome japanese resturants there... altho i wouldnt eat anything there.. as seafood=yuk 2 me.. still house hunting.. waiting on 2 appications.. doing another house today looking in footscray and sunshine.. might do frankston tomorrow.. as the rentals have been up for ages and they r still there... so maybe it would be easier.. and whats 1hr from the city anyways compared to the 3hrs we were previously from sydney?! and its coastal which means it would be colder and lots of parks and beach/coast.. |

Hi Tiffany it was great to hear some news from you! Though being in a big new city would be a scary feeling (for me anyway.. I've done it before). I worked in Sunshine for years and shopped in Footscray as it was close by. Great Asian food there. I knew someone in Frankston once and have been there a handful of times.. yes it's right near the water like Geelong is. We (in Geelong) are 50 to 60 min's from Melbourne too and we are a city by the bay! I've prayed for you that God will show you the way he wants you to go and give you favour and blessings. I'm thinking of you and look forward to hearing more updates! :-) Maria.
P.S. I think you were talking about 'John Wood' the logie winner? The last famous person I saw in Melbourne was Billy Thorpe from Billy and the Aztecs (Most people I know.. think that I'm craaazzyy). My last brush with fame (if you could call it that) was walking right past Keith Urbans parents on the streets of Sydney. It was then I read in the media that Keith had arrived from the U.S. to join Nicole and they went to the movies for a private screening. Keith's parents are from Qld. My biggest brush with fame was Angelina Jolie walking right in front of me at LAX (Los Angeles Airport). She was at the Air Canada counter with an older couple (managers? not sure). She sat down with one person on either side..and I summoned the courage to go and talk to her as nobody was bothering her. I had a brief chat as she signed my journal. This was right before Tomb Raider was about to be released! Her lips don't appear so big in real life, neither do her boobs. She didn't have a scrap of makeup on but was still very beautiful and she was very polite, gracious and sweet!
Hey Tiff! Great to see you back after all this time. Sounds like you've got a big job on yuor hands relocating to Melbourne. Hope it all goes smoothly and you get your rental place. I'll keep ym fingers x'd for you!
